Dubai, United Arab Emirates (CNN) – Syrian Omar Al-Somah, the former Al-Ahly Saudi club player, was keen to congratulate the team on its victory over its neighbor Al-Ittihad, in a confrontation held on the field of Radioactive Jewel Stadium, on Friday evening.
Al-Ahly Club defeated the “Tigers” by a single goal, in the ninth round of the Saudi “Roshen” League.
Al-Somah wrote on his account on the “X” platform (formerly Twitter), after the match: “Jeddah is like this, my family and Bahr… Congratulations to Al-Ahly fans.”
The Syrian national team striker played for Al-Ahly club for several years, specifically between 2014 and 2023, before he left the team and moved to the Qatari club Al-Arabi.
Omar Al-Somah (34 years old) previously appeared in the Jeddah derby, and succeeded in scoring against Al-Ittihad Club with more than 10 goals.
