Syrian Refugees Injured in Horrific Traffic Accident in Lebanon: October 30 News

My News

A number of Syrian refugees were injured this morning, Monday, October 30, as a result of a horrific traffic accident in the Lebanese “Mingez-Akkar” region.

The Lebanese newspaper Al-Diyar reported that a horrific traffic accident occurred in the morning in the Munjez-Akkar area, as members of the Civil Defense rescued 15 wounded Syrians by using hydraulic rescue equipment from inside a van transporting passengers because its structure was severely damaged as a result of the force of the accident.

Five Syrians died and others were injured, last September 24, as a result of a horrific traffic accident involving motorcycles that occurred at Al-Ansariyeh Junction, located on the Sidon-Tyre Highway in southern Lebanon.

She indicated that ambulances arrived at the scene and transported the victims to area hospitals. Security forces also attended and opened an investigation into the incident.

About one and a half million Syrians live in Lebanon, according to government figures, including about 950,000 officially registered with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees.
