Syrian refugees began to publish videos of eating bananas on social networks as part of an online flash mob.
The Turkish authorities decided to deport seven Syrians, who posted a video on the network where they “provocatively” eat bananas. About it reported Directorate General for Migration of Turkey.
We are talking about a flash mob, which began after the publication of a video on the network with a resident of Turkish Istanbul on October 17. In it, a man complained that he could not afford bananas, while Syrian refugees were buying them “kilograms”.
In response to claims of buying bananas, Syrians not only in Turkey but also abroad have begun filming TikTok videos of them eating bananas.

The Turkish authorities described the video as “provocative”. Turkish law enforcement officers detained a total of 11 refugees from Syria, who were filming eating bananas on camera. They are charged with “incitement to hatred and hostility or humiliation of the Turkish people.”
As of 2019, Turkey has hosted 3.6 million of the six million refugees from Syria, where civil war broke out in 2011. But in recent years, due to economic difficulties, the attitude of the Turkish people towards the Syrians has worsened.
Formerly Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan changed the decision on expulsion from the country ambassadors of ten countries.
