Syrian gangster Angela B. reports to consulate in Turkey | NOW

Dutch Angela B., who left for Syria in 2014, reported to the Dutch consulate in the Turkish city of Istanbul this week. Insiders confirm this Friday after reports from various media.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs only wants to say that a 25-year-old Dutchman and her son have reported to the consulate.

B. is currently in Turkish detention. The Turkish authorities probably expelled her from the country, which would mean that she would return to the Netherlands accompanied by the military police.

The cabinet has said it has not been picking up any Syria visitors for years, because it is too dangerous in the conflict zone. The fact that B. has reported to a Dutch diplomatic post changes the matter.

The woman married a Portuguese who is said to have been involved in the making of gruesome execution videos for IS. Her husband has since died. In an interview with journalist Sinan Can, the woman did not distance himself from IS.

Since the fall of the caliphate of IS in 2019, B. has been in the Al Hol refugee camp in north-eastern Syria. Her three-year-old daughter died in the camp. This was because the girl was hit by shrapnel during the flight from the battle area.

It is not the first time that a female Syria traveler has returned to the Netherlands. In December last year, a 28-year-old woman from Gouda returned. She was immediately arrested upon arrival. Her four-year-old child was handed over to the Child Care and Protection Board.
