“At 00:22, the Israeli enemy carried out aerial aggression with rocket bursts from the occupied Golan Heights, striking a number of places in the city of Damascus and its environs, including residential areas inhabited by civilians,” the statement said.
Syrian air defense shot down most of the missiles, according to the Ministry of Defense. However, several houses were destroyed as a result of the raid. According to Reuters, the rocket hit a house in the Kafr Souss area, and several buildings in a densely populated area near the square in the center of Damascus were also damaged.
