Syrian actress Maram Ali revealed the fact that she underwent many plastic surgeries, after her features changed in the series “The Traitor,” currently showing, in which she plays the role of “Tia.”
Maram Ali said in her interview with the “Your Interaction” program on the “Al Arabiya” channel that some people thought that she had undergone plastic surgery because of her weight gain during the events of the series, denying that she had undergone any plastic surgery.
The 31-year-old actress attributed her weight gain to undergoing cortisone treatment, noting that she suffered a fracture in her foot while filming the series “Amber,” and did not get a break due to the start of filming the series “The Traitor.”
She explained that actress Sulaf Meamar helped her lose weight, saying: “Sulaf showed me a good medicine and an effective massage for weight loss, and I actually lost about 8 kilograms of my weight in a healthy way.”
Maram pointed out that she was subjected to a lot of negative comments and bullying from the public because of her excess weight, saying: “Indeed, my appearance was not logical at all because of my weight gain, and some described me as a ‘kibbeh disk’.”
She touched on her role in the series “The Traitor,” considering that “Tia the Traitor” is a victim and not a perpetrator or oppressor, noting that “Saif” is a deceiver and deluded her that “Aseel” is a bad person and wants to get rid of her.
She stressed that she does not accept betrayal in reality, and that nothing justifies a man’s betrayal of his wife. She also described men as “traitors,” noting that she was opposed to Tia’s age. She also defended her bold scenes in the series.
The series “The Traitor” is adapted from a Turkish series. Its events revolve around a famous doctor who is exposed to marital infidelity. It stars: Sulaf Meamar, Qais Sheikh Najib, Maram Ali, Rita Harb, Jalal Al-Shamout, Khaled Shubat and others.
