The Syndicate of Artists in Syria has announced that it will prevent any singer who takes advantage of vulgar or sectarian phrases, below pain of threat.
The head of the Syrian Artists’ Syndicate, Mohsen Ghazi, mentioned that this choice came in reaction to “problems been given by the Syndicate about permitting singers to use phrases with offensive articles and vulgarity”.
In accordance to the Syrian newspaper Al-Watan: “Not the minimum of these is the up coming live performance of the singer Reem Al-Sawas in Aleppo, the funds of reliable singing and new music”.
Ghazi discussed that “the union will force singers to signal a pledge not to use these words and phrases and to delete all previous clips on social media.”
He extra that this “would be a circular for every person, which would be issued inside of a number of times, due to the fact Syria is a place of genuine and large-level artwork”.
