The return to Syria was controversial, with only 13 of the 22 member states of the Arab League voting in favor.
As a result, the return was conditional, Syria must end the civil war through political means.
To this end, it was decided to set up a committee involving Saudi Arabia, Lebanon and Jordan.
We also agreed to solve drug trafficking, refugee and terrorism issues together with the member states of the Arab League.
President Al-Assad, who gained notoriety as the ‘worst war criminal’ following Syria’s decision to return, is expected to attend the Arab League summit on the 19th.
