Syria is upset by Bouhabib’s statement regarding the displaced Syrians… and Aoun is interfering

A problem has arisen regarding the issue of the displaced Syrians, which President Michel Aoun has addressed with Minister of Foreign Affairs and Emigrants Abdullah Bouhabib and Minister of Social Affairs Hector Hajjar.-

Al-Anbaa learned that Syria’s dissatisfaction was reported to Baabda from Bouhabib’s statement to Al-Anbaa, in which he indicated that the regime does not want to return them and that their country did not request them, wondering: Do countries ask their citizens to return to it when they supplement the economy with hard currency? He said: They send money to their country, and this is what the displaced do.

Damascus sources say that it has expressed its willingness to cooperate with Lebanon, and the matter was reported to Lebanon through the Director General of Public Security, Major General Abbas Ibrahim, who was also not comfortable with Minister Bouhabib’s statements.

In addition, President Aoun asked Minister Bouhabib to provide clarifications aimed at not straining the relationship with the Syrian side, which, according to his opinion, has not dealt maliciously with the file until now, while Bouhabib pointed out that he was presenting a description of the situation and did not mean to accuse anyone.
