Yesterday, the Israeli army had carried out a raid near Damascus and a military position of Syrian regime forces in Quneitra province, with no casualties reported.
The Israeli government has said it continues to target Hezbollah and other Iranian forces in Syria, as it considers them a threat to the country’s security.
According to the newsit, Hezbollah has threatened retaliation but has not carried out any attacks on Israel since the start of the war in Gaza.
Israel has carried out hundreds of airstrikes in neighboring Syria since the country’s civil war began in 2011, targeting Syrian army positions and Iran-linked organizations such as Hezbollah.
These blows have increased since the start of the war between Israel and Hamas in the Gaza Strip, sparked by the Palestinian Islamic movement’s deadly offensive on Israeli soil.
