Israel has not made any statements on the raids, nor has it responded to the Syrian announcement.
On Friday, the Syrian authorities announced that their air defenses had intercepted “missiles coming from the north-eastern direction of the Sea of Galilee, targeting some points in the vicinity of the city of Damascus”.
It was the first attack on the Syrian capital since the September 16 Israeli air strike at Damascus International Airport, which killed five Syrian soldiers and forced the airport to close due to damage, according to the Syrian Defense Ministry.
