The office synergon was started in 2003 with the fields of work Urban development • Social space • Building culture founded and continuously developed.
In 2015 the office became the work area Social research • Social space • Inclusion expanded.

In the above-mentioned fields of work synergon in a variety of ways with current processes of social change:
social and spatial, socio-political and architectural.

These are sometimes initiated at higher political levels and then have to be implemented at the local level, in the social area. On the other hand, changes are initiated in the local neighborhoods, which in turn have to be taken up by higher-level structures.

Thus, social change processes bring about changes in their social as well as their designed and built living spaces.
In this area of ​​tension between society and design, possibilities for the connection of social and spatial issues are thought together.
