Parents who applied the cream to the two-month-old baby complained to the local media that “the child had abnormal symptoms such as swelling and weight gain.”
Baby cream in question. -A famous local blogger, who made the issue public for the first time, commissioned an analysis of the ingredients of the baby cream last December. As a result, it was reported that more than 30 mg/kg of’clobetasol propionate’ was detected. This is a type of steroid hormone, glucocorticoid, and is a prohibited ingredient in cosmetics. In fact, victims are now claiming that the cream appears to contain a large amount of hormones. When the problem arose, the Zhangzhou City Sanitation and Health Committee issued a statement that day and ordered the manufacturer to recall it. In addition, after collecting cream samples at the site, they requested analysis. The company is taking steps to stop production and dispose of all related products in circulation.
Earlier, China suffered measles once in Hunan Province last year after experiencing a side effect of increasing the skulls of infants who ate fake milk powder.
