Jakarta Cholesterol is a fat that is useful for the body. However, if the levels in the body are too high, cholesterol will accumulate in the blood vessels and interfere with blood flow.
High cholesterol is a condition when cholesterol levels in the blood exceed normal limits. If left unchecked, excessive cholesterol can build up in the blood vessels, increasing the risk of developing nervous system problems, digestion, heart, to stroke.

Besides being known through blood tests, sometimes signs of high cholesterol can also appear on the face. Doctor Gary Bartlett revealed, there are at least two specific signs of high cholesterol that can be seen in a mirror, namely xanthelasma and corneal arches.
According to Bartlett, xanthelasma is a yellowish plaque caused by fatty lumps that appear in the eyelid area. While the corneal arch is a condition characterized by the presence of a white, light gray or blue ring around the colored eye circle.
How to deal with high cholesterol? Reported by page Express, the UK’s National Health Service (NH) recommends changing your diet to a healthier one, doing more physical activity, and taking medication as recommended by your doctor.
Good sources of unsaturated fats include vegetable fats and oils, oily fish, nuts and seeds. According to Heart UK records, saturated fat should be no more than a third of each person’s daily energy intake.
If calculated on average, it is 20 grams for women and 30 grams for men. Regular exercise is also an integral part of lowering high cholesterol levels.
Some good things to try when starting an exercise include brisk or leisurely walking, swimming, cycling and more.
“Try to get at least 150 minutes or 2.5 hours of exercise a week,” advises the NHS. []
