BANJARMASINPOST.CO.ID, SINTANG – Attacks of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) in Kabupaten Sintang, West Kalimantan asked for the life of a child.
After being rushed to Ade M Djoen Hospital, Sintang due to the bite of the Aedes Aegypti mosquito, Ab (5) was declared dead.
Residents of Central Ketungau District, District Sintang, was declared dead on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 02:34 with the diagnosis of Dengue Shock Syndrome (DSS).
“Yes, it’s true (the DHF patient died),” said the Head of Disease Prevention and Control (P2P) at the Sintang District Health Office, Darmadi, confirmed by the Pontianak Tribune, Sunday, January 9, 2022.

From information compiled by the Pontianak Tribune, the boy began to feel symptoms of fever on January 4, 2022. Then, on January 7, he was rushed to the hospital.
After undergoing treatment, the child’s life could not be saved. IB was declared dead on Saturday, January 8, 2022 at 02:34 with the diagnosis of Dengue Shock Syndrome (DSS).
IB’s death, became the first DHF case to die in 2022.
Since a number of areas in the District Sintang, affected by floods at the end of 2021, the District Health Office Sintang noted, there were about 80 cases of DHF.
The number tends to decrease. However, the public is advised to remain vigilant, especially in the school environment.
“We urge the public to be aware of DHF, because this is an endemic disease in the district,” he said Sintang. Immediately take him to the hospital if a family member has a fever to get help,” Darmadi urged.
