Cervical cancer is a type cancer experienced by women. Symptoms of cervical cancer may appear to be over related se.g.

Chairman of the Indonesian Gynecological Oncology Association (HOGI), doctor Brahmana Iskandar, said that one of the symptoms of cervical cancer can be seen after having sex.

The symptom is bleeding. Brahmin said that post-sexual bleeding occurs because a lump is touched and it bleeds.

Jadi, [untuk melakukan skrining] can’t wait for complaints,” he said.

Several efforts to prevent cervical cancer include vaccines and early detection through screening.

“Visual infection screening with acetic acid, HPV DNA testing, we detect when there are no lumps yet but there is already abnormal cell growth,” said Brahmana.

With early detection, cervical cancer becomes easier to treat. Brahmin suggests that women should undergo regular screening at least 3 years after becoming sexually active.

“Essentially at least three years after [mulai] having sex should start with routine screening,” he said.
