Symposium Fertilize 2023: Bridging the Nutrient Gap and Responsible Nutrition Management in Argentina’s Crop Industry

With the usual focus on crop nutrition, a new edition of the Symposium Fertilize 2023organized by Fertilizar Asociación Civil and under the motto “To the great Argentine soil, Cheers!”.

The event will take place the next May 10 and 11 at the Metropolitan Convention Center, located in Rosarioprovince of Santa Fe and will discuss, among other things, the yield gaps and how to reduce them from the correct management of soils and crops.

In the pane “Performance gaps: How much does nutrition explain?“, the central debate will be the potential contribution of nutrients and the importance of bridging the nutrient gapthat is, the difference between what is being applied and what should be applied.

The panel will be moderated by Juan Pablo Monzon (CONICET and University of Nebraska) and will participate in the same jose andrade (FAUBA), Nahuel Reussi Calvo (CONICET and FCA-UNMdP), Gustavo Maddonni (CONICET and FAUBA).

“The foundations: Why do we insist on responsible nutrient management in production systems?”will be another of the panels that will take place on May 10.

In it they will make presentations Martin Diaz Zorita (UNLPam), Nicolas Rouillet (Fertilize AC) and Diego Rotila (FAUBA and CREA West Zone). The moderation will be in charge of Maria Fernanda Gonzalez Sanjuanexecutive manager of the organization organizing the event.

This space will address how the nutrients, resources and key inputs in the production, must be managed efficiently and effectively. Some of the questions that the invited experts will debate will be: How are we in Argentina? What tools are available to be more efficient in each batch and in each environment?. Do we use them? Do we handle nitrogen, phosphorus, sulfur and zinc correctly? What impacts do we see in the field and how can we improve?

This will be the 16th edition of the classic Symposium that every two years brings together more than 1,000 face-to-face participants and, it should be noted, that in 2021 it summoned more than 3,000 virtual assistants. For more information you can access here.
