Krefeld The Theater Krefeld has a new banner with the current number: “Cultural diversity: people from 37 nations work under this roof.”
Theaters are almost like small cities – with many, many different people working in different professions, behind and on the stage. For a number of years, a banner has adorned the facade of the Mönchengladbach Theater and the stage tower of the Krefeld Theater with the statement: “People from 29 nations work under this roof”. A strong signal for the diversity at the cultural site. But also a powerful statement against xenophobia and prejudice.

Fortunately, the number now had to be corrected upwards and the banner replaced, because there are now 37 nations, the theater announced. “Whether behind the scenes or on stage – the cooperation between theater employees of different origins is not only important for the theater, but enriching the entire region,” they emphasize. “The new slogan ‘Cultural diversity: people from 37 nations work under this roof’ ‘should proudly express that,” said a report from the theater.
