Film director Sylwester Chęciński died on Wednesday in Wrocław at the age of 91. He was the creator of a comedy trilogy about the Pawlak and Kargula families, started with the film “Sami swoi” in 1967. In his 45-year career as a director, he has made 16 feature films, and has also received a number of decorations and awards.

Sylwester Chęciński is best known for his comedy film trilogy, stories about the fate of the Kargula and Pawlak families: “Sami swoi”, “Nie ma mocnych” and “Kochaj or cast”.
