“In terms of work, it went very well”, Sylvie looks back on her corona year Beautiful world. “Last year was one of my best business years ever.” With brand after brand to promote, La Meis has ensured that enough money comes in. “But after a while I really started to miss the social aspect. Making myself beautiful for a red carpet of dinner party. But also the family visits, which I don’t have now, because everyone lives in the Netherlands and Belgium.”

What she especially shed a lot of tears about is the loss of Damián. He hasn’t lived in Hamburg for a year, so she sees him a lot less often. “The hardest thing was of course that I had to miss Damián, who lives with his father in Denmark, because he plays for a professional football club.”
Although she grants him his football luck, it is hard for Sylvie not to have him around. “Of course I wish him that beautiful, new phase of his life, but it is also heartbreaking not to be able to be with your child.”
