Sylvia Geersen’s divorce has been finalized. “Finally after seven years!!!!”, the 38-year-old model wrote in her Instagram Stories on Thursday with a photo of the letter stating that she and her Mexican ex-husband have officially separated.
She managed to have the divorce go through “unilaterally”. “Absurd, six years later and he still wants me back,” Geersen said in February Beautiful world.
According to Geersen, the divorce took so long because they got married in Mexico. “A corrupt country – we have never been married under Dutch law. You can send forms and emails all you want, but you will not get a response.”
Geersen called her relationship with her Mexican ex “too turbulent, too chaotic”.
