With Rambo and Rocky, Sylvester Stallone created two unforgettable characters and series of films that he shaped and which in turn shaped him fairly early in his career. Even if Arnold Schwarzenegger overtook him in the 1990s, Stallone was the undisputed number one in action cinema in the 1908s.
In his mid-60s, Stallone succeeded again in the 2010s in launching an action franchise: the “Expendables” films.
