NasDem Party cadre Syahrul Yasin Limpo or SYL submitted his resignation to President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) after being reported as a KPK suspect. The NasDem Party emphasized that it would not propose a replacement name for SYL to President Jokowi.
“It’s up to the President, that’s the President’s prerogative,” said NasDem General Treasurer, Ahmad Sahroni, when confirmed, Friday (6/10/2023).
Sahroni emphasized that the NasDem Party would not actively submit the name of SYL’s replacement to President Jokowi. “No, we are following the President’s directions,” he said.

Jokowi Looks for New Minister of Agriculture
Minister of State Secretary or Mensesneg Pratikno said that a replacement Minister for Agriculture for SYL would be immediately sought.
“Of course we have to look for someone to carry out his duties as Minister of Agriculture,” said Pratikno at the Ministry of State Secretariat, Jakarta, Thursday (5/10).
Today, Friday (6/10), the President’s Special Staff Coordinator, Ari Dwipayana, said that Pratikno had reported SYL’s resignation letter to Jokowi.
“Yesterday afternoon the letter was received by the Minister of State Secretary, of course at the first opportunity it was reported to the President,” said Ari Dwipayana to reporters.
