The 24-year-old known from “Euphoria” and “White Lotus” is soon ready in the superhero film “Madame Web”. Now she’s talking about MMA training and the desire to cultivate the dark side of the character in “Euphoria” season 3.

Sydney Sweeney was at the ongoing CanneSeries TV festival this weekend. There she received the Star Shot Award and talked to her Variety.
– A little more evil and dark
When asked what about the character Cassie she would like to explore further in season 3 of “Euphoria”, Sweeney points to a scene in episode four of season 2.
–– It was a part of Cassie that I got to play with when she in a scene with Nate started saying that she is more crazy than Maddy. And she became in a way a little more evil and dark and serious, and not so panicky. I would have loved to play more with her move, she says.
In February, it became clear that there will be a season 3 of the series as set a new viewer record for HBO when season 2 premiered.
–Before that, Sweeney had marked herself as the rich and spoiled Olivia in the satire series “White Lotus” last year, and she was seen in both “Handmaid’s Tale” and “Sharp Objects” in 2018.
To Variety, she also reveals that her favorite meme from “Euphoria” is from Cassie’s toilet breakdown in episode three, which is subtitled with “I have never been happier”.
On a clip from “The Ellen Show” Sweeney recently recounts when she invited the whole family to the “Euphoria” premiere, without thinking about the explicit scenes. The actress tells Ellen DeGeneres that her grandparents reacted with pride:
– They said I had “the best tits in Hollywood”, she says with a laugh.
The grandmother sits among the “Ellen” audience and gives a thumbs up.
–Martial arts
Recently it also became known that she to play against Dakota Johnson in “Madame Web”, a “Spider-Man” offshoot movie from Sony. It is not known what role she will play, but fans are wondering if it could be Black Cat.
–Sweeney confirms to Variety that she trained in martial arts (MMA) when she was a teenager.
– That is right. I started training when I was around 13. I participated in competitions and matches, and I really enjoyed it. I came in first place – and I’m fighting a boy, she says.
So far, she has not used her martial arts skills in her acting career.
– I would have loved to do that. Maybe on something I produce, she says to Variety.
