Is Sydney Sweeney pivoting towards… music?
The 25-year-old Euphoria actor was seen in Los Angeles on Saturday shooting what appears to be a music video for an unknown project. Multiple photos and videos from the shoot apparently surfaced online of Sweeney wearing an all-black ensemble fit for a rock star. The outfit included a black leather zip-up corset, bedazzled shorts, and star studded leather pants with platform heels.
Famed makeup artist and entrepreneur Patrick Ta appears to have confirmed that Sweeney is starring in a music video after he shared photos of her glam for the project. He titled the post: “Music Video Vixon.”

Sydney Sweeney says she doesn’t earn enough to take a break from acting
Video from the shoot showed a camera attached to a moving truck following Sweeney, who was in the back of a red convertible playing guitar. Get it girl!
It’s unclear what exactly the music video is about, but Sweeney can be seen muttering the lyrics to something. With the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike underway, union actors, including Sweeney, are unable to work on projects or promotions with the striking companies, which include Disney, Netflix, Warner Bros. and NBCUniversal, among others. However, actors can work in music videos, commercials, soap operas, game shows, and reality shows. Maybe this is how Sweeney keeps busy during the strike?
Sweeney said in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter last year that he would be unable to take even six months off work because he doesn’t have “an income to cover it.” Although people did not take kindly to the hugely successful actress’s comments at the time, her quote about actors not receiving residual pay is relevant to the current strike.
“They don’t pay actors like they used to, and with streamers you don’t get residuals anymore,” Sweeney said then. “The established stars still get paid, but I have to give 5 percent to my lawyer, 10 percent to my agents, 3 percent or something like that to my business manager. I have to pay my publicist every month, and that’s more than my mortgage.”
Hollywood has come to a complete standstill after the WGA and SAG-AFTRA unions went on strike. Both unions were unable to reach an agreement before their contracts with the AMPTP, which represents the big studios, expired. One of the main problems that SAG-AFTRA tries to solve with the studies is that of residual wages.
The president of SAG-AFTRA and actress Fran Drescher declared in a statement at the time of the strike: “SAG-AFTRA negotiated in good faith and was anxious to reach an agreement that sufficiently attended the needs of the interpreters, but the responses of the AMPTP On some issues and in others they have given us evasive. “
