Muanis (49), father of a young Indonesian badminton player, Syabda Mighty Belawa, was injured in a fatal accident on the Pemalang Toll Road, Central Java. Muanis is still in shock.
“For now the driver is conscious but still in shock,” said Pemalang Police Chief AKBP Yovan Fatika Handhiska Aprilaya when met at RSI Al Ikhlas Pemalang, as reported by detikJatengMonday (20/3/2023).
The police revealed that the Camry was originally driven by Syabda. Then, the driver changed to Syabda’s father at Km 57 Cikampek, West Java.
“This group left at around 11 pm from Bekasi. Initially the victim (Syabda) took the car from home to Km 57 in Cikampek, Karawang,” he said.
“From rest area the car changed the driver. From Km 57 to the TKP Km 315, the driver was the victim’s father,” added Yovan.
As a result of the accident, Syabda and his mother, Anik Sulistyowati, died. Meanwhile, Syabda’s father, Muanis (49), suffered an abrasion on his temple.
