Swookies, the new hotspot to know for cookies like in New York

What could be tastier than a glass of hot milk or chocolate in which you dip a cookie when the temperatures get colder? This delicacy, regressive at will, transports us to childhood in just a few bites. Behind this irregular cookie filled with chocolate chips, a recipe that requires a lot of love and precision if you want to succeed with your cookies to perfection. Because when industrial cookies are often hard and crumble easily, homemade cookies must be both soft and soft.

In search of the perfect cookie

If now they are selling like hot cakes all over Brussels cafes, for Margaux, the creator of Swookies, it was impossible to find a cookie that lived up to her expectations in Brussels. Gourmet and passionate about cookies, she decided to launch at the end of 2019 her own brand where cookies would be king. Swookies was born. Aware that there are as many recipes as there are cookies lovers, she creates four kinds of cookies with different textures: the brooky, a mix between the cookie and the brownie that is melting on the inside and crisp on the outside, the Chewy, a a sort of giant cookie with milk chocolate chips that melts in the mouth, the Crispy which, as its name suggests, is ultra crispy and made from dark chocolate, and finally the Gooey, a cookie filled with chocolate chips and hazelnuts. And then, lately, the Peanut Buddy, made from peanut butter from the Buddy Buddy brand.

The Swookers (the community loyal to swookies) already knew the eshop where it was possible to order cookies, the brand has just opened a store, the Swook Shop, located in Flagey. On the spot, we settle quickly to taste our cookie that we accompany with a good coffee, a cappuccino or a latte from the Wide Awake roaster. All with a nice smell of hot swookie. And because Margaux has thought of everything: it is even possible to buy on site a bouquet of fresh or dried flowers from Atelier de la Rose in addition to your cookie. The winning combo to seduce, conquer or charm your other half!

Want to test? Meet at the Swook Shop, open Tuesday to Sunday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., at 27 Place Eugène Flagey, 1050 Brussels or order directly on the e-shop.
