American study shows that swelling can occur
For an American study recently over 15,000 women vaccinated with Moderna who had used dermal fillers were interviewed. Three of the participants had swelling on their faces afterwards. Two of them a few hours after the vaccination, another two weeks later. The symptoms would have completely resolved after a maximum of three days.
The EU Committee on Medicinal Safety has dealt with the issue. In a so-called “security update” it says: “Swelling in the face of people with dermal fillers is shown as a possible side effect.”
The number of those affected is not too great

“Filler shouldn’t prevent you from vaccinating”
But how dangerous is a vaccination if I recently had my lips or cheeks injected? The websites of various beauty clinics that offer dermal fillers already warn of a possible allergic reaction.

Luketina would not advise against the vaccination under any circumstances: “The fact that you have fillers should not prevent you from getting vaccinated – the same applies the other way round, you can get injections despite being vaccinated.”
