Switzerland: Socialist Women have new co-chair – Switzerland

Bernese national councilor Tamara Funiciello was elected co-president of the Swiss Socialist Women on Saturday in Bern. She shares the post with Martine Docourt, member of the Grand Council of Neuchâtel.

Former president of the Swiss Socialist Youth, Tamara Funiciello succeeds Natascha Wey who retired at the end of last year, said a press release published at the end of the assembly.

Old-age provision was also at the heart of the discussions at this meeting. A very large majority of the members present voted for support for the popular initiative of the Swiss Trade Union Union (USS) for the introduction of a 13th AVS pension. (Ps / nxp)
