Almost sixteen months have passed since more patients with severe respiratory problems were admitted to the hospitals in Wuhan in mid-December 2019. To this day, science puzzles over the outbreak of a then novel coronavirus, which was later called Sars-CoV-2. After tough negotiations with the Chinese authorities and more than twelve months late, an international research group was finally able to travel to Wuhan at the beginning of the year to research the origin of the pandemic.
