There are few places in the world where Switzerland is as present as in the Vatican. “After Roger Federer, our guardsmen in Rome are probably the most photographed Swiss in the world,” says Jean-Pierre Roth, former President of the National Bank. Roth presides today so-called barracks foundation, which collects money for the new barracks of the papal guard.
