The Competition Commission (Comco) has opened an investigation against a German producer of tobacco products on suspicion of hindering imports into Switzerland.

The Swiss gendarme said in a brief press release Tuesday that he had indications that this company had agreed with some of its distribution partners to contractual bans on exports to Switzerland.

Comco has not disclosed the identity of the company under investigation. Its director Patrik Ducrey, however, told AWP that it was a “small business”. The charges go back to the spring.
