The chat application WhatsApp is one of the most popular “kits” on the market, and recently it has been significantly trying to catch up with the competition when it comes to introducing new features. WhatsApp works well, but when it comes to managing two different accounts on one device, the situation is not so rosy. At the same time, having a separate work account from a private one is by no means an unusual situation. Especially for owners of multiple accounts, WhatsApp brings a useful new feature that they will surely appreciate.
Two accounts on one device is not a problem
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg himself announced that the ability to easily switch between accounts on one device will arrive on WhatsApp for Android in the foreseeable future. That way, you won’t have to carry two different phones with you, or constantly log out and log in as soon as you need to change your account from work to private and vice versa. However, the solution still has one drawback – you still need to have both accounts registered to different phone numbers.

Fortunately, there is no need to have both SIM cards constantly active in one device, so after the initial login verification via SMS code, you can put the second SIM card away without any problems. Meta has been trying to make WhatsApp more and more convenient for users recently, for example by introducing multi-device support in 2021. It is not yet known when the feature will also appear in the iOS version of the app, but it shouldn’t be too long.
