A unique incident occurred at a restaurant on the Italian island of Sardinia. A Swiss tourist ordered a lobster and released it into the sea.
According to the British Telegraph and Daily Mail on the 18th (local time), Swiss tourist A visited a restaurant with her husband and discovered a water tank at the entrance. There was a live lobster in the water tank. Mr. A paid 200 euros (about 280,000 won) and ordered one uncooked lobster.
The restaurant put the live lobster in a bucket and delivered it to Mr. A. Mr. A went to the dock with a bucket, carefully removed the lobster, and threw it into the sea. It is said that the lobster swam away immediately after entering the sea.
Restaurant owner Antonio Pasolini said, “When Mr. A entered our restaurant, he was shocked to see the aquarium at the entrance. He asked me if I could release the lobster into the sea. “I thought he was joking, but the look on his face showed he was serious.”
He recalled the time, saying, “After weighing the lobster in the kitchen, I told Mr. A and his wife that the price was 200 euros. They said they would buy it right away.” Mr. A said that he was not a restaurant employee and that he had to release the lobster himself.
“I think Mr. A thought it was some kind of good deed,” Pasolini said, adding, “He seemed very touched and even hugged me afterwards.”
