Swiss Skier’s Brother Kevin Holdener Dies at 34 After Long Cancer Battle

The Swiss Ski Federation announced on Thursday evening that the brother of the star skier lost his battle with cancer. Kevin Holdener died at the age of 34.

In an emotional message, Wendy Holdener describes how her brother left this world after a 14-year battle with an insidious disease: “In the early hours of February 22, Kevin, my brother, confidant and manager, son of my parents, brother of Steve and husband of Carmen, passed away.”

When the Swiss skier’s brother was 20 years old, he was diagnosed with a rare and complex form of cancer. “Cancer ruined his dream of his own skiing career. Nevertheless, Kevin amazed us with his strong will and zest for life. He bravely faced this disease and managed to survive for a few more precious years.” his relatives mention.

“His death is heartbreaking for all of us and leaves a void that will never be filled.” said his family, which is going through extremely difficult times.
