The President of the Swiss Confederation Alain Berset arrived this Friday, April 14 in Goma, capital of the province of North Kivu for a humanitarian mission.
In Goma, the Swiss President will visit the internally displaced persons of Bishagara and Kanyarucinya and will then assess the humanitarian needs.
After North Kivu, Alain Berset will also go to South Kivu in Bukavu where a meeting is planned with partners from the Swiss Cooperation. A visit to the Panzi Hospital run by Doctor Denis Mukwege is also part of his agenda.
It should be noted that during this mission in the East of the DRC victim of various atrocities, he is accompanied by certain members of the Congolese government including the Minister of Communication as well as that of Human Rights.
