Eight Swiss are in the running for the qualifications for the US Open which begin on Tuesday. They are hoping to join Stan Wawrinka, Marc-Andrea Hüsler and Belinda Bencic in the main draw.
Dominic Stricker (ATP 127), Leandro Riedi (ATP 150), finalist last Saturday of the Winnipeg Challenger, and Alexander Ritschard (ATP 185), appear in a table where we find in particular two big names, David Goffin (ATP 96) and Fabio Fognini (ATP 76). Viktorija Golubic (WTA 136), Jil Teichmann (WTA 149), Simona Waltert (WTA 151), Ylena In-Albon (WTA 158) and Céline Naef (WTA 161) will defend the colors of Swiss Tennis in the singles ladies.
