Jonatan Christie made it to the final Swiss Open 2022. Indonesia’s men’s singles overcome Srikanth Kidambi of India 18-21, 21-7, and 21-13.
Jonathan Christie and Srikanth Kidambi fight for the final ticket Swiss Open 2022 in St. Jakobshalle, Sunday (27/3/2022) early morning WIB. Jonathan started the first game with a lead up to six points early.
Srikanth then won six consecutive points to overtake and lead 8-4. Jonathan could equalize the score at 18-18, but Srikanth was able to stem it and lock the game 21-18.
Jonathan appeared to control in the second game. He was already leading 11-5 at the interval, then continued to widen the gap and win the game 21-7.
Despite starting the third game by trailing 1-3 first, Jonathan immediately responded with four points in a row, followed by six points in a row to close the 11-5 interval.
From there he did not lose momentum and ensured the final ticket with 21-13. In the final, Jonatan Christie will meet another Indian badminton player, Prannoy HS, who previously defeated Anthony Sinisuka Ginting.
