One winner still won one million francs that evening. She guessed six numbers correctly. The largest Swisslos jackpot ever won was a good seven years ago: in December 2016, 70 million francs were up for grabs. However, three participants had to share the jackpot. They each received 23.4 million francs.

If a single person were to guess the six correct numbers and the lucky number on Saturday, it would be a record win in the over 50-year history of Swiss Lotto. The largest win by an individual to date was achieved in 2014: On August 23rd, a lucky person pocketed a sum of 48,598,075 francs and 75 centimes. According to Swisslos, 173 players have become millionaires since the game was introduced in 1970.
