The quarter-finals of the Women’s World Floorball Championships bring Swiss joy in the form of advancing to the semi-finals, the favorite of the duel defeated our representatives with the result 8:4, but considering the distribution of forces in world floorball, this score is acceptable from our point of view. In the third period, Paulína Hudáková and Katarína Klapitová prevailed on our side, thus our floorball players managed to reduce the score difference.
Thus, Switzerland again advances to the semi-finals, in which it has never been missed in history, our girls are waiting for a duel against Latvia on Saturday at 4:00 a.m. (our time), the winner of which will then play for the final 5th place on Sunday, which was the main one even before the tournament the goal of our choice.

Dear viewers, already on Friday at 7:00 a.m. our women’s floorball representatives are waiting for the quarter-finals of the World Cup, in which they will compete against Switzerland.
The Slovakian team entered the tournament with the goal of finishing in fifth place, for which it is necessary to advance to the quarterfinals, and they succeeded, because in Wednesday’s round of 16, our team beat home Singapore 11:2.
It must be said that the quarterfinals are the stage of the tournament that in recent years used to separate the world’s elite four – Sweden, Finland, Switzerland, Czech Republic – from the rest of the world. At the last seven world championships, it was this quartet that advanced to the semi-finals, the Swiss women were not missing among the tournament’s elite four even once in history (the floorball WC has been held every two years since 1997), while they left without a medal placement only twice. The players from the country of the Helvetian cross confirm that they belong to the world’s best this time as well. In the basic group, they outclassed Norway 8:2 and imposed an even greater burden on Latvia – 22:1, they lost to Finland 5:9, thus advancing directly to the quarterfinals.
Let’s believe that our girls will show a high-quality performance against the big favorite and torment them as much as possible – at the last WC in 2021, we also lost to Switzerland in the quarter-finals with a result of 1:12, but earlier in 2019, our floorball players were able to torment the Finns at this stage of the tournament (loss 6:8).
The most productive Swiss player is Corin Rüttimannová with 11 Canadian points, we have 4 most productive players in our team – Trošková, P. Hudáková, Červená and Chupeková, all of them scored 4 points.
