U-21: European Championship qualifiers in Sion, Lausanne and Thun

The Swiss U-21 national team will begin qualifying for the U-21 European Championship in 2023 in Georgia and Romania in autumn 2021. The first three home games of the European Championship qualification campaign will take place in Sion, Lausanne and Thun.

To kick off the new campaign, the team of U-21 national coach Mauro Lustrinelli will welcome Gibraltar at the Stade de Tourbillon in Sion on Friday, September 3, 2021 (kick-off at 7 p.m.). A few days later, on Tuesday, September 7th, 2021 at 6:00 p.m., the Swiss U-21s will meet Gibraltar again away from home. The last game of the Swiss U-21s in the tourbillon took place on September 6, 2012. The comparison with the then defending champion Spain ended in a goalless draw in the context of the European Championship qualification 2013.

Premiere at the Stade de la Tuilière and return to the Bernese Oberland

In October there will be the premiere for “The Nati of the Future” at the Stade de la Tuilière. On Friday, October 8th, 2021, at 7:00 p.m., the top match between Group E and the Netherlands will take place on Lausanne’s artificial turf. The last home game of the Swiss U-21s in 2021 against Moldova on Friday, November 12, 2021, will take place at 7 p.m. in the Bernese Oberland in Thun. The SFV team last played in November 2020 in the Stockhorn Arena (2-1 win against Azerbaijan). The U-21 generation 2000 or younger won their first international match against Ireland 2-0 in Marbella / ESP in May 2021. Information on advance ticket sales for the games and the exact timing and location of the remaining games will follow at a later date.
