Swiss companies hope for the end of the China lockdown | company abroad

The lockdowns in Shanghai have brought life in the 26 million metropolis to a standstill. This affects the Swiss companies that are active in the city and the surrounding area: the operation of almost 90% of the companies active there in the business-to-business (B2B) segment is affected. This shows a survey by SwissCham China, the Swiss-Chinese Chamber of Commerce in Shanghai.

Most Swiss companies operate in China in the B2B segment. According to the survey, the greatest limitation is that 82% of the companies are no longer fully supplied. Around two-thirds state that production is affected. The survey was conducted from the end of March. Lockdowns were extended indefinitely this week. So the situation is likely to have gotten worse.
