Already postponed, the elective general assembly of the Malagasy Swimming Federation will be held in the premises of the National Sports Academy, this Saturday from 4 p.m. “ With the program for this Saturday with the investiture ceremony, the election will take place at the end of the afternoon “, declared Gabriel Ramanantsoa, president of the FMN. His team’s mandate already ended in September and it’s time to take stock. As a prelude to the elective AGM, the FMN steering committee will hold an ordinary general meeting to present the various reports from the past season and especially from the 2019-2023 quadrennial mandate. The deadline for submitting applications ended on November 15 and the identity of the candidates will not be known until this Saturday. The current president, Gabriel Ramanantsoa, has not yet spoken out, but he will make an announcement by Friday. There are 7 existing regional leagues within the FMN, namely Analamanga, Vakinankaratra, Boeny, Atsinanana, Vatovavy-Fitovinany, Haute-Matsiatra and Alaotra-Mangoro. This year, Malagasy swimming made its successful comeback during the Island Games by winning two gold medals, as was the case in 2007.
