Swimming: Interclubs take place over two days at Le Lamentin

150 swimmers divided into 15 teams participate in this meeting which generally marks the real start of the season. The Inter Club championships for all swimming categories return to the Lamentin Municipal Aquatic Center on Saturday afternoon (November 12) and tomorrow Sunday morning (November 13), in their open and festive form.

The Inter Club championships of all swimming categories are back in an open and festive form.

This is the first roster revision of the season for the swimmers. 150 young people will compete over two days (Saturday afternoon and Sunday morning).

Last year it was the François Natation Club that won everything for both men and women.

In the men’s field, the Franciscans in the blue jersey regularly dominated despite the good performances of the swimmers of Longvilliers and Schoelcher Natation 2000.

This year the Lamentinois (even without Christophe Maleau gone elsewhere) intend to win, but the François won’t feel that way. Unless there is an incident, victory will be decided between these two clubs and the battle for 3th place will be free between Schoelcher and Espadon, because neither Lorrain nor Carbet can form teams of 10 swimmers.

On the female side, Schoelcher Natation 2000 will struggle to take revenge on Noah Martial’s Franciscaines, but beware the experience of girls like Ines Tyburn Pastel who will come to lend a hand to Jade Bering and Maelys Lepel just for the occasion.

With the Chloé Desaghette and the other Delphine Vinceslas, the Swordfish of Fort-de-France presents itself as a more than serious suitor to challenge its François counterparts for victory without forgetting the young shoots of Longvilliers.

Hostilities start at 16:30 this Saturday with the 10 x 50 meters relay. It will be in the wake of the traditional colorful parade presenting the teams to the public which, no doubt, will generously fill the grandstands of the community aquatics centre.
