– We want help for you to be real. All tortured people have a chance to get help in Poland. Throwing out their representatives is an expression of the highest aversion and fear of authoritarian authorities towards their own people. We protest against it with all our might. We wish everyone Belarusiansthat they find their home in Belarus, added the head of the Polish government.
Morawiecki handed Cichanouska the keys to the Belarusian House in Warsaw as a symbol of support for the Belarusian community living in Poland. – We know that the fight has to be fought from somewhere. All people who want to fight this fight in a coordinated manner will have the support of the EU and all political forces in Poland – said Morawiecki.
– Let our solidarity symbolically mean the handing over of the keys to the Belarusian House, the seat of free Belarusians in Warsaw, who will make sure that the fight for freedom and sovereignty ends with success – he stressed.
– Thank you very much to Poland for accepting me and all the people who were forced to leave Belarus – replied Swiatłana Cichanouska. – What is happening here makes me believe that the Belarusian nation has awakened and that we are one nation. The nation began to fight for its own rights – she added.
– People today cannot come to terms with what happened with us on August 8.9. President Lukashenko has no legitimacy for our people. At this difficult moment for us, we realized that Belarus also has a lot of friends, she said.
She also added that “the help of all countries, but especially Poland, can support Belarusians in the fight for their rights”.
– I am convinced that after the new elections we will maintain good relations with the Polish government and will support us morally and financially, because our situation is approaching the threshold of an economic abyss. I hope that our relations will flourish – concluded Cichanouska, adding her thanks for support and in the fight for independent Belarus.
