The head of Larian studio – Swen Vincke also responded to the nominations. “It’s a real honor, especially in a year with so many titles coming out. Seeing our little ‘niche RPG’ make such waves is very motivating,” X said in a post on social media.
He then added that he would like to reveal details about the next “big” game that the studio is working on, but it is obviously too early for that. He then stated that the team is encouraged by the success of Baldur’s Gate 3, and they want to push the boundaries for the next project as well. “I’m very happy about it,” he concluded his message.
Change of plan?
It will take some time before we learn more details about the next project, but it is interesting that Vincke is suddenly talking about a big game. At the beginning of August, he let it be known that he is not sure what he will do next, but he would like to work on a smaller project for a change, maybe on several games at once. Now it seems that plans have changed a bit.
