Despite all the challenges of this time, the ensemble “Sweet Faces” continues to keep its promise and publishes a new song on the first day of each month.
The June song of the group “Saldās sekas” was recorded in collaboration with the ensemble “Ducele”, as well as the young singer and songwriter Edvards Strazdiņš. This is the tenth song in a row, published on the first day of each month. The author of the song’s music this time is “Ducele” leader Arnis Veisbārdis, but the lyrics were written by Guntars Račs. A video version of the lyrics by Kaspars Dvinskis (“Dween Productions”) has also been made in the shocking tempo. There was an idea for a completely different song, but it didn’t work out, and I remembered that some time ago Arnis had sent me a draft of one of his songs with the idea that it could be useful for “Sweet Faces”, because it was not really in the manner of “Ducele”. Fortunately, I remembered the song and within a few days we decided to realize it, inviting the young and talented songwriter and singer Edvards Strazdiņš, who without hesitation agreed to the challenge, ”says Guntars Račs.
Within the framework of the upcoming album “12”, the songs “September” (performed by “Saldās sejas”), “Oktobris” (recorded in collaboration with Jānis Stībelis and the vocal group “Karameles”), “November” (with Aija Andrejeva, Ivo Fomins and Uldis Marhilevičs ), “December” (with the participation of the group “Favorable type”), “January” (together with the group “Līvi”), “February” (with the participation of the vocal group “4 tie”), cover version of Raimonds Pauls and Alfreds Krūklis song “We we met in March ”,“ April ”(in cooperation with Normunds Rutulis and Mārtiņš Kanters), and“ Maija ”(together with Igo).
