The group “Saldās sejas” in cooperation with the singer Igo has created a song “Maijā”, which is a continuation of the monthly song project “12”. This time its music was co-written by Thomas Klein and Guntars Račs, but the lyrics were written by Račs and Igo.
The song “Maijā” is also scheduled to have its premiere on stage – it is planned for May 22 at the Igo newly established art center “Ceplis” in the concert “Ceļam cepli”. “Igo invited us to participate in his charity concert, so it seemed logical that May’s song should be written in collaboration with him. The story of the song is about breaking out of four walls and turning into seagulls. Such a small confusion. I wrote the lyrics and the melody of the song, and then I asked Thomas Klein to finish the song. In the end, Igo wrote down another part of his “rap” text and got a great collaboration. In my opinion, one of the most successful songs of this project at the moment, ”says Guntars Račs.
Within the framework of the album “12”, the songs “September” have already been made, which are performed by “Sweet Faces”; “October”, recorded in collaboration with Jānis Stībelis and the vocal group “Karameles”; the song “November” with Aija Andrejeva, Ivo Fomins and Uldis Marhilevičs; “December” with the participation of the group “Favorable type”; song “January” with the group “Livi”; lyrical “February” with the participation of the vocal group “4 tie”; cover version of the group “Saldās sejas” by Raimonds Pauls and Alfreds Krūklis for the song “We met in March” and the song “Aprīlis” recorded in collaboration with Normunds Rutulis and Mārtiņš Kanters.
