Sweep vaccination begins this Wednesday in 10 circuits of the country

The vaccination process in 10 circuits of the country, with the Pfizer vaccine, will begin this Wednesday through sweeps from the age of 16 and in areas of difficult access, from the age of 12, reported the Ministry of Health (Minsa) .

The day will begin in the 5-1 circuit (Chepigana, Santa Fe de Darién and Sambú) and in the 5-2 (Pinogana and Cémaco). It was ordered that the sweep be carried out from the age of 12, in these sectors of the Emberá – Wounaan region and the province of Darién, said the Minsa on Monday, July 26.

In the same way, in the 9-3 circuit (Calobre, Cañazas, San Francisco and Santa Fe) in the province of Veraguas, the Pfizer immunization will be applied from the age of 12.

The Minsa recalled that this Wednesday the sweep will also begin, but from the age of 16 in the circuits 2-2 (Antón), 2-4 (Aguadulce), 4-3 (Bugaba and Tierras Altas), 4-5 (Boquete, Dolega Gualaca), 8-1 (Arraiján), 8-6 (San Miguelito) and 9-1 (Santiago).

In circuits whose vaccination process is from 16 years of age, those over 12 years of age with chronic diseases, or with disabilities certified by the National Disability Secretariat (Senadis), will also be immunized.

More than 2.2 million doses are applied

The Expanded Immunization Program of the Ministry of Health (Minsa) reported this Monday, July 26, that to date 2,292,535 doses of Covid-19 vaccines (AstraZeneca and Pfizer) have been applied in Panama.

The Minsa report on vaccinations in the country indicates that 216 doses of Pfizer were placed in the province of Coclé, according to a cut-off made at 2:00 p.m.

While in Veraguas 1,860 doses of Pfizer were applied; 1,333 in the province of Colón; 198 doses of Pfizer and 150 of AstraZeneca, in Chiriquí and Los Santos, 855 people were immunized with the AstraZeneca vaccine.
