Swedish Viking game won prize at game gala

The game, which is created by Iron Gate Studio in Skövde, won an award for both best debut and audience award.

– It’s incredibly fun, it’s not something we had dared to hope for, says game developer Lisa Kolfjord to P4 Skaraborg.

“Valheim” was released in February 2021 and is a survival and adventure game for up to ten PC players. It has sold more than seven million downloads.

Swedish Hazelight, with Josef Fares at the helm, was praised for “It takes two” which won best design.

The gala’s finest prize, the award of the year’s game, went to the indie title “Inscryption”.
